| The 12th Annual Honolulu Festival celebrates Pacific traditions. It originally began as an exchange between Hawaii and Japan, but today has grown into a cultural exchange program among all the various regions of the Pacific Basin. |

| Through educational programs and activities sponsored by the Honolulu Festival Foundation, a nonprofit organization, the festival continues to successfully share the vibrant blend of Asian and Hawaiian cultures with the rest of the world. Last year the festival drew 5,000 participants from Japan, with thousands more attending the three day festival from Japan, Hawaii and beyond. |
