Hawaii feral cat pictures, government buildings, 2002-06.
As a former Senior Aide at the Honolulu City Council, Executive Secretary for a city commission and legislative aide at the Hawaii State Capitol, I was always amused and humbled by the cats near our government buildings.
In the last few days of my Mom's life in May of 2006, each day I would leave her room at Queen's Hospital after midnight and visit the cats on my way to the car at the city parking structure. I really appreciated their company.
For nearly all the cats, the ear is clipped to show that they have been fixed. The issue of wild animals in Honolulu is a serious one. Luckily, a group of volunteers assist to control Hawaii's downtown cat population. |

Though most visitors to Hawaii's Capitol district don't see these cats, they are there watching you and acting finicky. |

I rotated this picture to make it look more dramatic.

Chuckie, near the city municipal parking structure. He is my favorite because he keeps himself so clean. |

We are watching you! Watching us eat.

This looks like a true jungle picture! Move over National Geographic. |

Gracie, who is now in Heaven, during the timeI followed her on the roof. |

Yum, yum, yum.

Trying to look innocent on the city auditorium construction site. Shame. |

It's safe to be by room 220. (You know who has left.)
